The button is still firmly attached and functional and is a fairly standard looking tortoise shell button that could be replaced easily. Sweater has no holes, stains, or obvious pilling, but the yarn is a bit fuzzy. Color is called heather shadow and is a gray color made of many shades blended together as visible in the close up pictures. Sweater is super cute and cozy.
